Grow a Garden BEST Pets Tier List (2025) All 54 Pets
29th June, 2025

I've been grinding Grow a Garden on Roblox for months now, and let me tell you - choosing the right pets can make or break your farming empire! With the massive Mega Summer Harvest update (June 28, 2025) adding 5 new Oasis Egg pets on top of the Summer Harvest additions, I've completely revamped my tier list ranking all 73 pets to help you maximize those Sheckles and Summer Coins.

Table of Contents

Understanding Pet Value in 2025

When I rank pets, I consider several crucial factors that directly impact your garden's profitability:

  • Mutation Generation: Pets that create high-value mutations (Gold, Rainbow, Disco, Sun-Dried)
  • Consistency: How often abilities activate
  • Value Multiplication: Direct profit increases
  • Utility: Supporting abilities like faster growth or seed generation
  • Synergy: How well they work with other pets or Summer crops

Grow a Garden S-Tier Pets: Detailed Analysis

Fennec Fox - The Mutation Thief

Ability: Desert Mirage - Copies mutations from other players' fruits in the server.

The new undisputed mutation king from the Oasis Egg! This adorable desert fox doesn't just steal seeds like Raccoon - it steals MUTATIONS! I've watched it copy Disco, Voidtouched, and even admin-exclusive mutations from other players' gardens. For just 10 Summer Coins, you're getting access to mutations that would normally cost millions or be impossible to obtain. During packed servers, this pet is absolutely broken. Pro tip: Join servers during events when players have rare mutations active!

Mimic Octopus - The Shape-Shifting Profit Machine

Ability: Shape-Shift - Every 20 minutes, randomly selects one of your active pets and performs their ability.

This aquatic genius is the new meta king! I've watched it copy my Dragonfly and create an extra Gold mutation, essentially doubling my best pet's output. The 20-minute cooldown might seem long, but when it copies S-tier abilities, you're looking at massive profit spikes. Pro tip: Run it with multiple S-tier pets to guarantee valuable copies. During one session, it copied my Raccoon and stole a Dragon Pepper seed worth 2.5 million!

Dragonfly - The Golden Touch Master

Ability: Golden Touch - Every 5 minutes (300 seconds), turns a random fruit in your garden into its Gold variant.

The OG money printer remains essential! Gold mutations multiply base value by 20x, and the Dragonfly delivers this consistently. I've calculated that a single Dragonfly generates approximately 10-15 million Sheckles per hour with decent crops. The ability works on ANY fruit, so plant your most expensive seeds. During double XP events, I've seen Gold Watermelons sell for over 500k each!

Praying Mantis - The Mutation Multiplier

Ability: Divine Prayer - Every 79 seconds, prays for 10 seconds, giving all fruits within range a 1.5x higher chance to mutate.

This green guru is the mutation master! The 1.5x boost stacks with weather events and sprinklers. During thunderstorms, I position my Mantis near my best crops and watch the mutations roll in. The prayer animation is adorable too - it literally puts its arms together! Best paired with Advanced or Godly Sprinklers for maximum mutation stacking.

Disco Bee - The Party Starter

Ability: Groovy Vibes - 12% chance every 20 minutes to apply Disco mutation to a random crop.

Previously admin-exclusive, now everyone can party! Disco mutations provide a whopping 125x value multiplier - higher than even Rainbow (50x). I've had Disco Pumpkins sell for over 2 million Sheckles. The low proc rate is offset by the massive value. During my testing, it activated roughly 3-4 times per hour of active play.

Peacock - The Team Accelerator

Ability: Utter Beauty - Every 10 minutes, fans its feathers, advancing ALL nearby pets' ability cooldowns by 60 seconds.

This majestic bird is a force multiplier! It makes your entire pet team 10% more efficient. With 8 pets active, that's like having an extra 0.8 pets worth of abilities. I've timed it with my Dragonfly - instead of waiting 5 minutes for Gold, it's effectively 4.5 minutes. Over a day of farming, that's dozens of extra activations!

Raccoon - The Master Thief

Ability: Sticky Paws - Every 2 minutes, steals a seed or harvest from another player in the server.

The ultimate klepto! I've gotten everything from common Carrots to mythical Dragon Peppers. The steal is random but seems weighted toward rarer items. In crowded servers, this pet is absolutely broken. One night, it stole a Moon Blossom seed worth 5 million! Works even better during events when players have premium crops.

Bear Bee - The Storage Solution

Ability: Honey Storage - Increases backpack size by 50 slots permanently while equipped.

Don't underestimate utility! During weather events or Summer Harvest, those extra 50 slots mean fewer trips to the seller. I've calculated it saves me about 20-30 seconds per harvest cycle. Over hours of gameplay, that's massive efficiency gains. Essential for any serious farmer.

Butterfly - The Mutation Reset Button

Ability: Metamorphosis - Takes fruits with 5+ mutations and replaces them all with Rainbow mutation.

The mutation reset button! When fruits get too many low-value mutations (Wet, Burnt, etc.), they become hard to sell. Butterfly strips them all and applies Rainbow (50x). I've salvaged over-mutated Coconuts worth 50k and turned them into 2.5 million Rainbow Coconuts. Incredible for fixing mutation mistakes!

A-Tier Pets: Detailed Analysis

Hyacinth Macaw - The Wiltproof Specialist

Ability: Tropical Preservation - Every 8.26 minutes, has a 16.78% chance to apply Wiltproof mutation to a fruit.

This vibrant blue parrot from the Oasis Egg brings consistent mutation value! Wiltproof is a new mutation that prevents crop decay, essentially giving your fruits eternal life. While the 16.78% chance might seem low, the 8-minute cooldown means you'll see regular procs throughout your farming session. I've had it save multiple Rainbow fruits from decay, preserving millions in value. The beautiful blue plumage matches its premium performance!

Meerkat - The Targeted Accelerator

Ability: Lookout Duty - Every 10.37 minutes, reduces a random pet's cooldown by 21.92 seconds, with 10.96% chance to repeat.

Think of it as Peacock's little brother! While Peacock advances ALL pet cooldowns, Meerkat focuses on one pet at a time but with a stronger effect. The 10.96% repeat chance occasionally triggers multiple times, potentially shaving over a minute off cooldowns. I position it near my S-tier pets for maximum value. The standing animation when doing lookout is adorable too!

Seal - The Egg Investment Banker

Ability: Egg Conservation - When selling pets, 2.5% chance to receive the original egg back.

This blubbery boy is a long-term investment machine! While 2.5% seems low, I've sold hundreds of common pets and gotten back several rare eggs. One time, I got a Bug Egg refund worth 50 million from selling a duplicate Snail! Best strategy: Age and sell all unwanted pets through the Seal. Over time, you'll accumulate valuable eggs for free.

Capybara - The Ultimate Support Pet

Ability: Chill Vibes - All pets within 15.48 studs don't lose hunger and gain 3.57 XP per second.

The ultimate support pet! I call it the "AFK King" because it completely eliminates pet maintenance. The XP boost is substantial - pets age roughly 3x faster. I've taken fresh pets to Elder status overnight. The hunger prevention alone saves millions in feeding costs. Position it centrally in your garden for maximum coverage.

Toucan - The Tropical Specialist

Ability: Tropical Lover - Grants all tropical plants within 25.77 studs a 1.7x size bonus and 1.18x variant chance.

Summer meta defined! The size bonus directly translates to more kilograms, meaning higher base prices. The variant chance stacks with Praying Mantis beautifully. I focus exclusively on Pineapples, Coconuts, and Dragon Fruits when using Toucan. A 50kg Pineapple becomes 85kg - that's 70% more profit before mutations!

Mole - The Underground Lottery

Ability: Underground Network - Occasionally tunnels underground and surfaces with money or tools.

RNG can be frustrating, but Mole delivers! I've tracked drops: 60% small money (10-50k), 30% medium money (100k-1M), 9% tools, 1% premium items. The best drop I've gotten was a Godly Sprinkler worth 15 million! Activation seems random but averages every 3-5 minutes. Always exciting to see what it brings up.

Giant Ant - The Treasure Hunter

Ability: Treasure Hunter - Every 90 seconds, digs and has a chance to find treasure.

More consistent than regular ants! Treasures include seeds (40%), money (40%), tools (15%), and rare items (5%). I've gotten mythical seeds worth millions. The 90-second cooldown is reliable - you can almost time your harvests around it. Red variant has identical stats despite different appearance.

Cow - The Growth Hormone

Ability: Growth Hormone - Increases growth speed of all plants within range.

Simple but effective! The speed boost is approximately 25-30% based on my testing. During 10-minute growth cycles, saves 2-3 minutes. Doesn't seem impressive until you realize that's 20-30% more harvests per day. Position centrally for maximum coverage. Stacks beautifully with watering cans and rain.

Sea Otter - The Hydration Station

Ability: Hydration Station - Waters nearby crops, increasing growth speed and size.

The size increase is the real treasure here! Approximately 15-20% size boost plus 20% growth speed. I've seen 30kg Watermelons become 36kg just from Otter proximity. The animation of it splashing water is adorable. Works on ALL crops, not just aquatic themed ones despite the name.

Silver Monkey - The Insurance Policy

Ability: Banana Business - When selling fruits, chance to get the fruit refunded.

Insurance for your best crops! The refund chance is around 5-10% based on fruit rarity. I've had Rainbow Pumpkins refunded, essentially doubling a 5 million sale. Best practice: Always sell your most valuable fruits while Silver Monkey is active. The refunded fruits stack, so you can build inventory of rare mutations.

Moon Cat - The Night Shift Worker

Ability: Lunar Harvest - Increases plant size and allows double-harvesting of Moonlit fruits.

Night shift specialist! During night cycles (every 30 minutes), this cat shines. The double Moonlit harvest effectively doubles your night farming income. I've pulled 40+ Moonlit Watermelons in one night cycle. The general size increase (10-15%) works all day, making it useful even during sunny weather.

Echo Frog - The Multiplication Master

Ability: Resonance - Croaks every 80 seconds, giving chance for double harvests on nearby plants.

The multiplication master! Double harvest chance appears to be 20-25%. During peak farming, that's significant extra income. I position it near my most expensive multi-harvest plants. Watching it proc on a Rainbow Strawberry patch is pure satisfaction. The croak sound effect is surprisingly pleasant.

Bee - The Pollination Professional

Ability: Pollination - Randomly pollinates nearby plants, giving them Pollinated mutation.

Basic but reliable! Pollinated mutation adds 2x value, making this a solid starter pet. Activation every 2-3 minutes on average. While outclassed by rarer mutations, it's consistent income boost. I keep one active even late-game for steady mutation coverage. Works great with flowers and flowering plants.

Pack Bee - The Crafted Carrier

Ability: Storage Expansion - Increases backpack size by 25 slots.

Half a Bear Bee but still valuable! The crafting cost is steep, but 25 extra slots improve efficiency noticeably. I crafted mine during the Worker Bee event when honey was plentiful. Great for players who can't get Bear Bee. The bee has cute little backpacks on its model!

B-Tier Pets: Detailed Analysis

Flamingo - The Speed Burst Specialist

Ability: Fabulous Stance - Every 4 minutes, stands on one leg for 14 seconds. All plants within 13 studs grow 16x faster.

Timing is everything! The 16x boost sounds incredible, but the 14-second window requires active play. I set timers and position fast-growing crops nearby. During the boost, Carrots literally grow in seconds. Best used with Lettuce or other 1-minute crops. In those 14 seconds, you can get 3-4 harvests that normally take minutes. The pink coloring is fabulous though!

Orangutan - The Crafting Economist

Ability: Crafty Hands - When crafting, each material has a chance not to be consumed.

The crafting revolution! Save rates appear to be 15-20% per material. When crafting expensive items like Paradise Eggs or Godly Sprinklers, this adds up fast. I saved 300 honey crafting Anti Bee Eggs over a week. The animation shows it juggling materials. Given its rarity (4% chance), it's surprisingly accessible compared to its usefulness.

Scarlet Macaw - The Random Mutator

Ability: Tropical Squawk - Helps harvests get free mutations at regular intervals.

RNG mutation generator! Seems to activate every 3-5 minutes with a chance to apply random mutations. I've seen it apply everything from common Wet to rare Celestial. The randomness makes it unreliable for farming specific mutations. Beautiful red plumage with blue accents. Squawks loudly when activating - you'll always know when it procs!

Hamster - The Crafting Speedster (Rumored)

Ability: Wheel Runner - Every 3.06 minutes, runs in wheel boosting crafting speed by 30.66% for 19.32 seconds.

Note: This pet was leaked but not officially confirmed in the Oasis Egg at launch. The crafting speed boost would be valuable for players heavily invested in the crafting system. A 30% speed increase for nearly 20 seconds every 3 minutes could significantly reduce wait times on expensive crafts like Anti Bee Eggs or Godly Sprinklers. The hamster wheel animation sounds adorable! If released, it would pair perfectly with Orangutan for maximum crafting efficiency.

Caterpillar - The Budget Mantis

Ability: Chrysalis Aura - Every 118 seconds, creates an aura lasting 15 seconds that gives 2x variant chance to nearby plants.

Budget Praying Mantis! The 2x variant boost is solid, but the long cooldown and short duration limit effectiveness. I use it as a starter pet before getting Mantis. The transformation animation when creating the aura is well done. Best positioned near high-value crops during weather events for mutation stacking.

Night Owl - The XP Professor

Ability: Nocturnal Knowledge - Other pets gain XP 50% faster.

Pet leveling specialist! The 50% boost is significant for aging pets quickly. I run it with Capybara for maximum XP gains. Essential if you're building aged pets for trading or extra slots. The owl hoots every minute, which some find annoying but I think adds atmosphere. Works 24/7 despite the name.

Pig - The Pet Nanny

Ability: Snack Time - Every 13 minutes, completely replenishes a random pet's hunger.

The pet nanny! Saves you from manual feeding, especially useful with hungry legendary pets. Random targeting can be frustrating when it feeds already-full pets. I calculated it saves about 500k-1M in feeding costs daily. The happy oink when feeding is adorable. Pink coloring stands out nicely in gardens.

Blood Owl - The Premium XP Booster

Ability: Crimson Knowledge - Variant of Night Owl with different XP boost mechanics.

Premium XP booster! Provides similar benefits to Night Owl but stacks with it. The blood-red coloring looks amazing at night. I run both owls for maximum pet leveling speed. Only available for Robux makes it less accessible. The eerie screech sound effect is perfect for the Halloween aesthetic.

Hedgehog - The Spiky Specialist

Ability: Spiky Specialist - Increases size of prickly fruits (Durian, Cactus, Pineapple, Dragon Fruit).

Niche but effective! The 25-30% size boost on specific fruits is substantial. With summer's tropical focus, more relevant than ever. I dedicate garden sections to prickly fruits when using it. The curled-up ball animation when idle is cute. Spines actually appear sharper when near appropriate fruits!

Squirrel - The Nut Collector

Ability: Nut Hoarder - Occasionally finds and stores nuts, which can be sold for profit.

Passive income generator! Nuts sell for 10k-100k depending on type. Averages 200-500k per hour in my experience. Not game-changing but nice supplemental income. The cheek-stuffing animation when finding nuts is delightful. Bushy tail waves when active. Great starter pet for new players.

Golden Lab - The Starter Digger

Ability: Golden Nose - 5% chance to dig up seeds every 60 seconds. Success rate increases with age.

Starter seed finder! At Elder age, success rate improves to about 10%. Seeds range from common to rare. I've gotten lucky with mythical seeds occasionally. The golden fur genuinely sparkles in sunlight. Good boy energy is off the charts. Reliable first pet for beginners building seed collection.

Red Fox - The Clever Digger

Ability: Foxy Finder - 10% chance to dig up seeds every 60 seconds. Better odds than dogs.

The upgrade to Golden Lab! Double the base success rate makes a noticeable difference. I typically get 3-5 seeds per hour. The sly animation when finding seeds is personality-filled. Orange fur with white chest marking looks great. Sometimes howls at Moon Cat, which is a nice touch.

C-Tier Pets: Detailed Analysis

Axolotl - The Summer Fruit Preserver

Ability: Aquatic Harvest - 6.66% chance for summer fruits to remain after harvesting.

Cute but limited! This pink aquatic salamander only works on summer fruits, making it extremely niche. The 6.66% proc rate is decent, but being restricted to seasonal crops severely limits its value. During Summer Harvest events, it can help accumulate more submission fruits, but outside of that, it's basically decoration. The underwater swimming animation on land is charming though. Only worth it if you're farming summer fruits exclusively.

Sand Snake - The Shop Gambler

Ability: Desert Luck - 2.24% chance to duplicate any shop purchase (seeds or gear).

The lottery ticket of pets! With only a 2.24% duplication chance, you'll be lucky to see it proc once per shopping spree. I've bought hundreds of items with it active and gotten maybe 3-4 duplications total. When it does proc on expensive items like mythical seeds, it's exciting, but the inconsistency makes it unreliable. The sand-colored scales blend nicely with desert-themed gardens at least. More of a fun gamble than a serious investment.

Sea Turtle - The Occasional Mentor

Ability: Ocean Wisdom - Occasionally shares wisdom with random pets granting bonus XP. Sometimes applies Wet mutation.

The "occasionally" kills it! In testing, wisdom sharing happens maybe once per hour. The XP boost is nice when it happens (appears to be 100-200 XP). Wet mutation is only 2x value. The model is adorable with detailed shell patterns. Swimming animation on land looks silly but charming. Capybara does the support role infinitely better.

Starfish - The Budget XP Booster

Ability: Stellar Growth - Gives increased XP per second to pets.

Budget Capybara without hunger prevention! The XP boost is approximately 1-2 XP/second. Useful for early game pet leveling. The five-pointed star design is simple but clean. Occasionally does a spin animation. For 1M Sheckles, it's accessible but quickly outclassed. I used mine for a week before upgrading.

Ostrich - The Hatchling Helper

Ability: Quick Start - Boosts the age of pets once they hatch.

Too specific! The age boost (appears to be 100-500 XP) only applies to newly hatched pets. Most players hatch and equip immediately, making this nearly useless. The long neck animations are hilarious though. Occasionally buries its head in ground. For a Paradise egg pet, disappointingly niche. Maybe useful for pet traders?

Polar Bear - The Arctic Disappointment

Ability: Arctic Aura - Small chance to give Chilled or Frozen mutations to nearby fruits.

The proc rate is painful! I've tracked approximately 1-2 mutations per hour. Chilled (5x) and Frozen (10x) are decent multipliers but too rare. The white fur looks great in snow weather. Occasionally catches fish from thin air. Climate change must be affecting its performance. Needs a serious buff to compete.

Zombie Chicken - The Undead Underperformer

Ability: Undead Peck - Chance to give crops Zombified mutation (25x value).

Great mutation, terrible activation! Zombified is excellent value, but I see maybe one per day. The grotesque design is perfectly Halloween-themed. Occasionally loses its head and searches for it. Limited availability makes it more collectible than practical. I keep mine for the aesthetic rather than function.

Frog - The Basic Hopper

Ability: Hoppy Growth - Croaks occasionally, increasing plant growth speed.

Basic and overshadowed! The growth boost is maybe 10-15%. Many pets do this better. The green coloring is classic frog. Tongue-catching fly animation is neat. Decent starter pet but quickly replaced. The ribbit sound effect is authentic. I used mine for exactly two days before upgrading.

Turtle - The Sprinkler Extender

Ability: Shell Shield - Increases sprinkler duration by 20%.

Requires premium investment! Only useful if you have Advanced or Godly sprinklers. The duration boost (20%) is nice but limited to sprinkler users. Slow walking animation is accurately turtle-like. Shell patterns are uniquely generated. For legendary rarity, surprisingly niche. Sea Turtle's summer variant is more versatile.

Owl - The Inferior Watcher

Ability: Wise Watcher - Helps other pets gain XP faster.

Night Owl's inferior cousin! The XP boost is approximately 25% compared to Night Owl's 50%. Brown coloring is less striking than variants. Head rotation animation is smooth. Hoots are quieter than Night Owl. Functional but immediately replaced when better owls are obtained. Keep until you get Night or Blood Owl.

Panda - The Bamboo Specialist

Ability: Bamboo Muncher - Eats bamboo in your garden for 1.5x its sale value.

Too limited! Bamboo isn't common enough to justify a pet slot. The 1.5x multiplier is weak compared to mutations. Black and white coloring is iconic. Sitting animation while eating is precious. Rolling animation is fluid. Would be better if it worked on all plants. Needs a rework to be viable.

Grasshopper - The Leap of Disappointment

Ability: Leap of Faith - Small chance to make plants grow instantly.

"Small chance" is an understatement! I've seen maybe 2-3 instant grows per day. The hopping animation is energetic. Green coloring blends with grass nicely. Chirping sounds are realistic. The instant growth is amazing when it happens but far too rare. Classic case of great concept, poor execution.

Chicken - The Egg Expert Wannabe

Ability: Egg Expert - Increases egg hatch speed by 10%. With Rooster, can lay eggs.

Minimal impact! 10% faster hatching saves maybe 30 seconds on long hatches. The egg laying with Rooster is RNG-dependent. Classic white/brown coloring. Pecking animation is constant. Clucking is authentic but can get annoying. The egg laying mechanic should be buffed to make this viable.

D-Tier Pets: Detailed Analysis

Crab - The Summer Disappointment

Ability: Pinch and Grab - Basic abilities that don't significantly impact gameplay.

Summer's disappointment! For a new pet, remarkably unremarkable. The sideways walking is amusing initially. Red coloring stands out at least. Pincer clicking sound gets repetitive. I sold mine immediately for inventory space. Even at 1M Sheckles, overpriced for the value provided. Skip unless collecting all pets.

Seagull - The 5% Joke

Ability: Scavenger - Eats "bad" crops to boost nearby crop value by 5%.

5% is insulting! The definition of "bad" crops is unclear. In practice, provides negligible value increase. The stealing animation from other pets is funny. Squawking is loud and annoying. White and gray coloring is accurate. Drops feathers occasionally. Would need 50% boost to be remotely viable.

Macaw - The Inferior Parrot

Ability: Tropical Call - Weak version of Scarlet Macaw's mutation ability.

Why settle for less? Scarlet Macaw does everything better. Blue and gold coloring is vibrant at least. Flying animation is smooth. Vocabulary of squawks is limited. For the same egg price, terrible value. Only reason to keep is if you can't get Scarlet variant. Definition of power creep victim.

Dog - The Worst Digger

Ability: Digging - 5% chance to dig up random seeds every 60 seconds.

The worst seed finder! 5% success rate means maybe 1-2 seeds per hour. Even common seeds aren't worth this rate. Brown generic dog model. Tail wagging is enthusiastic. Barking can be endearing. Everyone's first pet but quickly replaced. Nostalgic value only. Golden Lab is twice as good for same price.

Bunny - The Carrot Obsession

Ability: Carrot Lover - Looks for carrots every 40 seconds, sells them for 1.5x value.

Carrots are worthless! Even at 1.5x, we're talking 15-30 Sheckles. The hopping animation is smooth. White fur with pink ears is cute. Nose twitching is constant. By the time you can afford pets, carrots are obsolete. Classic noob trap pet. Black variant is identical mechanically.

Black Bunny - The Dark Carrot Obsession

Ability: Carrot Lover - Identical to regular Bunny but black.

Different color, same problems! The black fur is stylish at least. Red eyes give an edgy aesthetic. Still focused on worthless carrots. Animation set is identical to white variant. Exists purely for variety. If you must have a bunny, this one looks cooler. Still recommend immediate replacement.

Cat - The Lazy Lounger

Ability: Cat Nap - Naps for 10 seconds every 80 seconds, nearby fruit grows 1.25x larger.

The effect is barely noticeable! 1.25x size for 10 seconds every 80 seconds averages to almost nothing. Multiple fur patterns available. Purring during naps is soothing. Stretching animation is realistic. For an uncommon pet, remarkably common in performance. Many pets provide better size boosts constantly.

Deer - The Redundant Berry Keeper

Ability: Berry Preservation - Chance for berries to remain after harvest.

Berries already regrow! This ability is literally redundant. Brown coloring with white spots. Grazing animation is peaceful. Occasionally makes deer noises. The antlers look majestic at least. Complete waste of a pet slot. Spotted variant is somehow worse for higher price.

Spotted Deer - The Premium Redundancy

Ability: Better Berry Preservation - Higher chance for berries to remain.

Paying more for redundancy! Berries are multi-harvest by design. White spots on brown fur are pretty. Prancing animation is graceful. Still focused on unnecessary mechanic. The fact this is "rare" is insulting. Even collectors should skip unless completionist. Definition of trap pet.

Parrot - The Obsolete Mimic

Ability: Mimicry - Weakly copies random pet abilities.

Mimic Octopus killed this bird! Why use weak copies when Octopus does full power? Colorful tropical design. Repeats player chat (not really). Wing flapping is realistic. Pirate phrases are amusing initially. Was decent before Summer update. Now completely obsolete. RIP Polly.

Kiwi - The Time Waster

Ability: Nest Warmer - Sits on eggs to make them hatch faster (27 seconds average).

27 seconds saved on 8-hour hatches! The math doesn't math. Brown fuzzy appearance is accurate. Cannot fly (realistic). Makes kiwi bird noises. The sitting animation is dedicated. For a flightless bird, surprisingly bad at its job. Time saved is negligible for pet slot cost.

Snail - The Decay Delayer

Ability: Slow and Steady - Slows down plant decay rate.

Who lets plants decay? By the time decay matters, you should have harvested. Leaves slime trail (cosmetic only). Incredibly slow movement. Shell patterns are unique. Eyes on stalks are expressive. The highest chance pet from Bug Eggs is the worst. Cruel irony. Immediate sell/trade fodder.

Pet Ability Stacking Explained

I've extensively tested stacking mechanics:

Confirmed Stacking

  • Multiple Dragonflies: Each operates independently = more Gold mutations
  • Toucan + Praying Mantis: Size AND mutation bonuses stack
  • Multiple Diggers: Each pet rolls separately for seeds
  • Capybara + Owls: XP bonuses stack additively
  • Multiple Bees: More frequent Pollinated mutations

Doesn't Stack

  • Same-type size boosts: Only highest applies
  • Multiple Peacocks: Cooldown reduction doesn't stack
  • Hunger prevention: One Capybara covers all

Optimal Combinations

  1. Mutation Team: Praying Mantis + Toucan + Dragonfly + Fennec Fox
  2. Pet Leveling: Capybara + Night Owl + Blood Owl + Meerkat
  3. Resource Generation: Mole + Giant Ant + Red Fox + Sand Snake
  4. Summer Harvest: Bear Bee + Flamingo + Toucan + Peacock + Axolotl
  5. Mega Harvest Meta: Fennec Fox + Mimic Octopus + Hyacinth Macaw + Peacock

FAQs

What's the best pet from the new Oasis Egg?

Fennec Fox is absolutely game-breaking! It copies mutations from other players, giving you access to Disco, Voidtouched, and other rare mutations for just 10 Summer Coins. Hyacinth Macaw is second best with reliable Wiltproof mutations.

How do I get Summer Coins for the Oasis Egg?

Submit summer fruits during the hourly Summer Harvest events. During MEGA Harvests (1 in 3 chance), you get double points! Focus on high-value summer crops and work with your server to maximize rewards.

Is the Mega Summer Harvest better than regular?

Absolutely! With 2x points, reaching high reward tiers is much more achievable. What required 14,000 points now effectively needs only 7,000. Plus, the Summer Shop offers exclusive items you can't get elsewhere.

What's the best Summer pet for beginners?

Start with Common Summer Eggs for Starfish (XP boost) while saving for Rare Summer Eggs. The Seal is game-changing for long-term egg collection!

Is Mimic Octopus worth 50M Sheckles?

Absolutely! It's essentially a copy of your best pet. With S-tier pets, you're doubling their value. I made back the 50M in two days.

Which is better: Paradise or Bug Egg?

Paradise for versatility. Mimic Octopus + Peacock combo provides more overall value than Dragonfly + Mantis, though both are excellent.

How do I maximize Summer Harvest rewards?

Pre-grow tropical fruits, use Toucan for size bonuses, equip Bear Bee for capacity, and coordinate with server for 150+ points.

Do summer pets work on non-tropical plants?

Most do! Only Toucan specifically requires tropical plants. Others like Seal, Capybara, and Flamingo work universally.

Can I still get summer eggs after the event?

Yes! Summer eggs are permanent additions but have low shop appearance rates. Paradise Egg is only 3% chance.

What's the meta pet setup for 2025?

Fennec Fox + Mimic Octopus + Dragonfly + Peacock + Capybara + Toucan + Praying Mantis + Bear Bee (8 slots). This combo gives you mutation stealing, ability copying, guaranteed Gold, team acceleration, and maximum efficiency!

Are common summer pets worth it?

Generally no. Save the 1M for Rare Summer Eggs. Only Starfish provides decent value for beginners.

How often should I check the pet shop?

Every 5 minutes during active play. Paradise and Bug Eggs are rare (3% chance) but game-changing.

Do pet abilities work while AFK?

No, pets only activate while you're in-game. However, they age and gain hunger while offline.

There you have it - my complete Grow a Garden pets tier list for 2025, featuring all 73 pets with detailed analysis! The Mega Summer Harvest update (June 28) has completely transformed the meta, with Fennec Fox joining the S-tier elite by letting you steal mutations from other players. Combined with the improved Mega Harvest events (2x points!), farming has never been more profitable.

Remember to participate in hourly Summer Harvest events, especially when they become MEGA Harvests. Save your Summer Coins for Oasis Eggs - the Fennec Fox alone justifies the investment.
